About
An architect and sustainability consultant based in Portland, Maine. I believe strongly that the agency we have as A/E/C professionals helps craft the public & private spaces where lives take place. I strive to help build better stories about the kind of climate futures we want to inhabit.
Bridget Kane is a Senior Associate in Thornton Tomasetti’s Sustainability & Resilience practice and co-leader of the firm’s internal Circularity working group. An architect and sustainability consultant, she helps clients translate ambitious sustainability goals into practical design and delivery strategies. Her expertise includes embodied carbon reduction, life-cycle assessment, early design / passive design strategy, healthy materials, building science, project management and LEED, Fitwel, ILFI, and WELL certification consulting. Bridget has worked across educational, cultural, healthcare, research, and commercial typologies, with a focus on integrating sustainability into early design decisions while advancing occupant health, wellness, and equitable outcomes. She has worked as a registered architect in Toronto, Raleigh, Philadelphia and Maine, and she holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a BA in Architectural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
