The Wendell Street development leverages the Cambridge Affordable Housing Overlay to bring much needed affordable housing to the Baldwin neighborhood. With a mix of both family sized and senior units, the building includes 44 one-bedroom, 25 two-bedrooms and 26 three-bedrooms units. It is an eight-story high-rise that steps back at the upper two floors so that the main mass reads as six stories. The ground floor includes resident and community amenities, including a large "hub" space for various activities and five parking spaces for staff members. At the rear of the site is a residential courtyard that takes advantage of southern sunlight.
