About
B'nai B'rith Housing (BBH), a Greater Boston nonprofit housing developer, is proposing to create a new affordable housing development at 87-101 Blanchard Road in Cambridge. Located in the Cambridge Highlands neighborhood, the property currently contains a row of vacant commercial spaces. BBH intends on demolishing this existing building and replacing it with an approximately 100,000 square-foot, 6-story, L-shaped building consisting of 110 affordable senior units. This is BBH’s first development in Cambridge, but they have extensive experience building affordable senior housing in Boston. Physical amenities at the proposed development include a multi-purpose community space, office space for resident service counselors, and a bike storage room.
