About

My commitment everyday, in every project, is working toward a Net Positive future. I am dedicated to building bridges and leveraging new technologies to have high-performance buildings that strengthen the communities they serve as well as the planet.

Passionate designer and sustainability advocate who specializes in high-performance buildings in higher education & primary and secondary education.

Carmen is a Sustainability Lead at Perkins Eastman and plays an integral part in the PE Sustainability network where she connect gaps in project’s sustainability initiatives and plays a critical role in achieving these goals by integrating them into the project’s design, documentation and tracking through construction. Beyond her work, she believes in supporting non-profit and local communities - she serves at her local town's school building committee, BE+ H&W committee, NESEA member, speaker and BuildingEnergy Boston Content Committee member.

Prior to Perkins Eastman, Carmen focused on Higher Education in Texas. She graduated with a Master of Architecture & Certification in Historical Preservation and Sustainable Urbanism from Texas A&M University while being a recipient of the IDP Merit Fellowship.
