About
The Simon C. Fireman Expansion weaves together an existing 160-unit senior campus with a new connective spine that creates 45 additional units. Nestled into a wooded landscape adjacent to Powers Farm, this project is designed to create comfort and resilience while enhancing the vibrance of the community and services. The new three-story insertion creates a “main street” with a variety of spaces that allow for flexible programming. These support a stronger network of paths and nodes, with new daylit elevator and stair cores that enhance autonomy and independence, as well as safety. New courtyards and accessible paths provide a rich array of opportunities to connect with the outdoors and encourage active and passive recreation while appreciating seasonal texture and color.
