Baumann Consulting (Baumann) provides sustainability and engineering consulting services for the entire lifecycle of buildings. Baumann is driven to advance the real estate industry toward a carbon-neutral future. We achieve this by creating sustainable solutions for high-performance and net-zero energy buildings based on viable business plans. Baumann has expertise in the commercial, multi-family, institutional, educational, and industrial building sectors. Our services range from energy audits, feasibility studies, and development and evaluation of design concepts to commissioning, measurement & verifications (M&V), and monitoring of building performance and systems.

Baumann was founded in 2006 in the District of Columbia. In 2012, we expanded our presence to the Midwest and opened an office in Chicago, IL. In 2013, Baumann became a transatlantic organization when we opened our office in Frankfurt, Germany. We are spread across three offices, but we operate as one firm.
