About
The 26 Court Street project is a full renovation of the 11-story municipal office building, originally built in 1912, for use by the City of Boston. The renovation includes replacement of existing building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, window replacements, historical masonry restoration, new elevators, hazardous material abatement, accessibility upgrades, new fire safety equipment. Floors 2-11 will be exclusively City of Boston office use. Currently the Public Facilities Department (PFD) will be housed on floors 10 and 11, and the Department of Neighborhood Development on floors 7-9. The ground floor has space for public meetings. The sub-basement level has archival storage.
