About
The Veterans' Home in Chelsea Domiciliary Campus, which has served veterans since the Civil War, is undergoing a transformative renovation to modernize its housing. This multi-phase project, spanning four phases, integrates new construction with the decarbonization of existing buildings, significantly reducing both operational and embodied carbon emissions while improving thermal comfort. Phase 1 includes four historic, deep energy retrofits and one new building. The project also includes a new district-scale geothermal system.
