About
The new Concord Middle School in Concord, MA transforms the learning potential of the Town’s 6-8 graders by replacing two disconnected 1960s-era buildings with a single, unified school with net zero ready performance. Designed to suit the district’s preferred “team teaching” model, the school offers a wide range of spaces that support modern, dynamic approaches to learning.
Set in a rural landscape, the design embraces the site’s rich natural setting. Thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces give students a chance to grow through learning, play, and discovery. By embracing the outdoors, students and staff can follow in the best traditions of Concord from Thoreau to the present day: a place of conservation and respect for nature.
