About

The BHCC Student Success Center houses the college library and learning commons
along with academic advising and wrap-around student services, and is the first
new building in more than a decade at the state's largest community college.
Built on Passive House principles, it draws on a campus geothermal well field
behind a highly insulated envelope and is engineered for a future rooftop solar
array. Anticipating a rising base flood elevation, the design places every
critical building system, including the emergency generator, at roof level.
