About

I see every building as a unique prototype shaped by place and use, where thoughtful integration of common systems can deliver lasting performance and meaningful carbon reduction.

John Beaumont is the Director of Engineering at New Ecology, where he leads technical work across energy audits, energy modeling, engineering calculations, design reviews, and green building certification programs. Since joining New Ecology in 2022, he has played a key role in advancing Zero Over Time (ZOT) certification frameworks and supporting the transition to high-performance, low-carbon buildings.

John brings deep expertise in decarbonization and low-energy design, collaborating closely with project teams to develop practical, data-driven strategies that align ambitious climate goals with real-world implementation. Previously, he served as a Senior Project Engineer at Thornton Tomasetti, specializing in whole-building energy modeling, parametric conservation measure analysis, site assessments, and savings calculations across commercial, multifamily, healthcare, laboratory, institutional, and municipal projects.
