Jacob is a Principal at Ellenzweig, a leading architecture and planning firm in Boston, MA. He specializes in the design of innovative spaces for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Jacob's portfolio includes major projects for Stony Brook University, the University of Rhode Island, and the University of Mississippi, with recent work spanning the design of multidisciplinary engineering labs, oceanographic research, and advanced STEM teaching spaces.
Jacob is a recognized leader in sustainable design. He serves as the 2026-2027 Co-Chair of the AIA 2030 Commitment. He is an active member of the International Institute for Sustainable Labs (I2SL), where he is New England Chapter President, advises on the I2SL Labs2Zero program, and authors Best Practices Guides. As a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), he advocates for durable, long lasting, and energy-efficient buildings.
